Spain May jobless down 2.4 pct vs April, down 1.5 pct yr-on-yr

MADRID (Thomson Financial) - The number of jobless fell by 49,893 people, or 2.4 pct, in May from April and was down 1.5 pct from a year earlier, the labour ministry said.
The total number of jobless was 1,973,231 in May, the first time the total number has fallen below 2.0 mln since June, 2006, the ministry said.
